The VAT Refund Scheme for museums and galleries application deadline has been extended to Wednesday 1st March 2023.
With a number of queries coming in DCMS wanted to extend the deadline so they could improve clarity on eligibility and encourage more applications. They have newly published GOV.UK guidance which can be found here, with further guidance and information available here.
DCMS also want to use this opportunity to provide clarity on eligibility for museums that open during seasonal hours: they understand that some Museums open seasonally, which is why the scheme extends applications to museums which are open on a seasonal basis.
