The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO)
The FCDO pursues national interests and projects the UK as a force for good in the world. It promotes the interests of British citizens, safeguards the UK’s security, defends values, reduces poverty and tackles global challenges with international partners. FCDO is a ministerial department, supported by 12 agencies and public bodies.
The FCDO’s worldwide subsistence rates act as a benchmark scale rate for expenses payments for accommodation and subsistence overseas. This is a useful reference and starting point when negotiating subsistence rates with overseas project partners, and particularly subsistence rates for exhibition couriers.
