International Committees

ICOM International Committees bring together experts of museum specialities.  The International Committees (ICs) are global think-tanks on museums, and more generally, heritage matters.  They define museum professionals’ standards, share scientific information, establish partnerships with other organisations and develop recommendations for ICOM members.

ICOM UK members are eligible to join up to four International Committees on confirmation of their membership (one in which you have voting rights (except Student and Supporting members) and up to three in which you are interested in receiving information from).  A full list of the International Committees and Affiliated Organisations can be found on the ICOM website.  ICOM UK members can log into their member page on the ICOM website and edit their choice of ICs by clicking on the ‘edit my personal information link’.

ICOM UK members are eligible to apply for a Travel Bursary to attend an International Committee annual conference or meeting.
