Thank you to all of our members who attended the AGM on Thursday 1 September 2022. It was great to see some of our newest and also some of our most long-standing members join us to ask questions, get involved and network with other ICOM UK members.
Key decisions made at the ICOM UK 2022 AGM:
- The draft minutes from the 2021 ICOM UK AGM were adopted.
- Counterculture LLP were appointed again as auditors for the 2021-22 accounts.
- With agreed amendments to make the language more inclusive, the draft CIO Constitution will be submitted to the Charity Commission and ICOM UK will apply to covert to a CIO (Association Model).
We also heard from ICOM UK members who attended the ICOM Prague 2022 Conference in person and online. We will shortly publish the reports from all of the ICOM UK members who received a bursary to attend the conference.
Christian Baars (Co-Chair of ICOM UK) highlighted that a number of ICOM UK trustee/committee positions will become available at the 2023 AGM when a number of long-standing ICOM UK trustees/committee members reach the end of their maximum terms. We will keep members updated on these opportunities and issue role descriptions in advance of the 2023 AGM.
In the meantime, there are always ways members can get involved in and support ICOM UK’s work. If you have ideas about how you could offer support or get involved, please do email us at uk.icom.museum@gmail.com
