The ICLCM committee has made an agreement with DEMHIST (the International Committee for House Museums), with ICOM International in Paris, with the National Association of Houses of Memory (Italy) and with the European Network of House Museums of Illustrious Personalities to organise the first edition of International House Museum Days. Memory and Personalities.
All international house museums and artist’s studios, as well as any museum dedicated to a personality or illustrating the life and work of writers, artists, musicians, scientists, etc. can register for these two days.

This year, the days take on an international character because we have received the collaboration and patronage of not only ICOM International, whose president is Emma Nardi, but also of the ICOM-DEMHIST International Committee, the thematic committee for House Museums, whose president is Timna Seligman, as well as the ICOM-ICLCM International Committee, the international committee for Literary and Music Museums and House Museums of Writers and Musicians, which I have the honour of chairing.
All house museums and museums of distinguished personalities are invited to register and participate!
In order to participate in the International Days, one has to open one’s own house museum or personality museum with some benefit for visitors: a reduced ticket, a free guided tour, a brochure or gift, an event such as concerts or book presentations. I am sure that all museums will come up with their own creative and convincing ways to increase visitors on these days.
