ICOM recently organised a webinar, on museums and human rights. This year is the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Ahead of Human Rights Day, on 10 December, ICOM organised this event to encourage museums everywhere to take part in the ‘push for pledges’ for human rights, and to raise awareness of the many connections between museum work and human rights.
The event includes participation from Henry McGhie (Curating Tomorrow), the Federation of International Human Rights Museums (FIHRM), and ICOM MEMOHRI (the ICOM committee on memorial and human rights museums).
