Speaker: Iain Wheeldon
Iain Wheeldon is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Arts and Cultures at Newcastle University and founder/ host of the Cultural Peeps Podcast.
Iain has previously worked at BALTIC International Centre for Contemporary Art, where he helped to set up and deliver the venue’s initial educational and learning programme.
He then went on to become a Curatorial Assistant at the Hatton Gallery where he worked with both Newcastle University’s permanent art collection and on a wide range of temporary and touring exhibitions, before becoming the North East’s Programme & Research Manager for the en-quire gallery research programme – a national action research programme jointly funded by the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and the Department of Education and Skills with the aim of exploring and assessing the special learning benefits to young people of working with contemporary art in the gallery space.
Iain currently teaches Postgraduate Programmes in Museum Studies, Curating Art & Global Heritage Management and hosts the Cultural Peeps Podcast.

Museum Talks embraces a broad range of audiences from different backgrounds. The purpose of this project is to create a friendly environment for conversations.
