After 25 successful editions, ICOM’s flagship conference has become a worldwide reputed hub for exchange about the topical issues museums tackle today, as well as the most innovative solutions. Last year, ICOM Prague 2022 gathered world-renowned speakers and experts from all fields, it was a significant event as it introduced the first-ever hybrid format. This means it combined both physical and virtual elements, making it accessible to a wider audience.
During this conference, a highly anticipated revelation took place—the vote of the new museum definition. This revelation had been eagerly awaited by the global museum community. The conference brought together attendees from both in-person and virtual platforms, creating an engaging and enriching experience, breaking all records of participation with 3,050 on-site participants and 655 remote participants.
