The recent flooding which hit Downpatrick and County Down Railway (DCDR) in Northern Ireland has severely impacted the site leading to months of recovery ahead.
Rising flood waters reached the locomotives, workshops, gallery and tracks and work is ongoing to save and salvage where possible.
DCDR has launched an appeal to raise money for the recovery efforts and urgently need dehumidifiers as the walls in the workshops, Carriage Gallery and locomotive sheds are covered in water from the resulting condensation from the floods, which is tripping the electrics and hampering recovery work.
More information about the flooding can be found on the DCDR FB page and the DCDR webpage
