This webinar will focus on how climate information and science can be demystified and made accessible.

In a time of adverse weather events, libraries are working on ways they can support their users and local communities who face the impacts of climate change.

The British Library is hosting a series of webinars focused on libraries and the climate crisis. The aim of the series is to bring together international library and cultural professionals to share their different responses to the urgent and complex challenges of the climate emergency. This year, our Libraries and Positive Climate Action webinar series explores what climate resilience means to libraries and cultural organisations around the world.

Join the British Library on 26 October for their first webinar on accessible and participatory climate information, chaired by Maja Maricevic, Director of Science and Innovation at the British Library.

The speakers for this event include:

  • Rebekkah Smith Aldrich – Executive Director of the Mid-Hudson Library System (NY) and Co-Founder of the Sustainable Libraries Initiative
