Neges gan Collections Trust
Rydym yn gweithio gyda Bla Translation i gyfieithu safon rheoli casgliadau Spectrum i’r Gymraeg, diolch i gyllid gan Lywodraeth Cymru, i gefnogi amgueddfeydd Cymru i gyrraedd y safon Achredu. Mae Spectrum wedi’i gyfieithu i sawl iaith dros y blynyddoedd ond dyma’r tro cyntaf y bydd ar gael yn Gymraeg.
Cam cyntaf y prosiect yw cytuno ar gyfieithu termau allweddol o fewn Spectrum, mewn ymgynghoriad â’r sector amgueddfeydd Cymraeg. Datblygwyd y ddogfen hon yn seiliedig ar derminoleg bresennol ar gyfer Amgueddfeydd, Archifau a Llyfrgelloedd a gynhyrchwyd gan Lywodraeth Cymru yn 2013. Ar ôl eu cwblhau yn dilyn adborth, bydd y termau y cytunwyd arnynt yn cael eu cymhwyso i’r cyfieithiad llawn, a fydd ar gael i’w lawrlwytho am ddim ar wefan Collections Trust ddechrau 2024.

Message from the Collections Trust
We are working with Bla Translation to translate the Spectrum collections management standard into Welsh, thanks to funding from Welsh Government, to support Welsh museums to meet the Accreditation standard. Spectrum has been translated into many languages over the years, but this is the first time it will be available in Welsh.
The first stage of the project is to agree the translation of key terms within Spectrum, in consultation with the Welsh speaking museum sector. This document has been developed based on existing terminology for Museums, Archives and Libraries produced by Welsh Government in 2013. Once finalised following your feedback the agreed terms will be applied to the full translation, which will be available to download free on the Collections Trust website early 2024.
