Who is it for?
This session is aimed at anyone who is keen to learn more about creating family friendly exhibitions and exhibition resources. Whether you’re looking to create some new hands-on elements for families in your exhibition or are looking to dedicate a whole gallery to this audience, this session is for you! We’ll look at the practicalities, designing for different ages, learning styles and audiences, user-testing and accessibility.

Who runs the course?
This session will be led by Sarah Shaw. Sarah is the Director of Museum Tales LTD, a consultancy company specialising in all things family friendly. Sarah was the award-winning National Family Interpretation Manager for English Heritage for many years and now works with cultural venues across the world, supporting them as they develop new family friendly programmes, exhibitions, resources and training packages.

When & where is it?
This virtual session will be delivered on the 23rd June between 2 and 3pm. You can expect a fast passed session packed with practical ideas and examples of different family friendly exhibitions and hands-on elements. There will also be time for a Q and A at the end of the session.
