The video from the second online discussion organised at UNIVERSEUM on 3d June 2020 titled “Universeum Voices during COVID-19: Reconnecting Online #2 – How to Re-open the Doors” is now available on YouTube following the link from the following page:
There were over 65 participants joining for the discussion from all over the world and 3 speakers working with museums and collections at different parts of Europe:
- Isabel Garcia Fernandez, U-museum, Complutense University of Madrid
- Joanna Ślaga, Jagiellonian University Museum, Jagiellonian University in Kraków
- Raquel Barata, National museum of natural history and science, University of Lisbon
The discussion was moderated by Vice-President at the Universeum Board, Professor Maria Economou from the University of Glasgow / Hunterian Museumi in the UK, and Andrew Simpson, Vice-Chair of UMAC, Macquarie University, Australia.
It was very useful to see the measures that the different organisations across Europe are taking for the re-opening as well as the issues and challenges these raise as we now move to this new reality.
