This seminar will explore the legal issues surrounding international art loans. This is a complement to the joint IAL-MTG seminar from 2015 on International Art Transactions and will serve to further extend the understanding of international matters relating to the art market. The session will cover questions relating to art loan agreements, jurisdiction and conflict of laws, government indemnity for objects on loan, the European policy of art mobility and immunity from seizure.
