ICOM UK is looking to appoint a part-time, freelance Event Coordinator to deliver the first online Working Internationally Festival in March 2021.
For several years the Working Internationally Conference, organised in collaboration with National Museum Directors’ Council (NMDC), has been a key event for ICOM UK, attracting over 100 delegates in March 2020 at Leeds Art Gallery.
For 2021, ICOM UK and NMDC are planning something different – an ambitious 5-day online festival. We are seeking an Event Coordinator who wants to work with ICOM UK and NMDC to develop exciting new content and build a substantially larger national and international audience. We need an Event Coordinator who enjoys new challenges and will champion a diverse programme.
The successful candidate therefore needs experience of project management, event coordination and online conference software such as Zoom. We need a creative problem solver, capable of working with a variety of stakeholders and coordinating input from different national and international museum sectors in a new format and delivery.
ICOM UK welcomes UK and international applicants and priority will be given to applicants who self-identify as Black, Asian, Indigenous, a Person of Colour, and applicants from all ethnic minority backgrounds and genders.
