UK Winners of Heritage in Motion Awards announced

The Awards were presented at the Macedonian National Theatre in Skopje, Macedonia on Friday, 29 September 2017. The annual multimedia competition honors creators of films, games, apps and websites related to Europe's cultural and natural heritage and is an initiative by the European Museum Academy (EMA) and Europa Nostra and is empowered by Europeana.

The Best Achievement Award was presented to the UK's Historic Palaces' project "The Lost Palace". It was recognised for the technological achievement as well as engaging aesthetics, design and concept.

The Athens Time Walk was honored as the Best App for Mobile Devices. While the cooperation of the Stockholm City Museum, the Stockholm City Archive, the Stockholm City Library and the City of Stockholm Administration of Education received the award for the best website: Stockholmskällan. The Exhibition on Screen project was recognised in the category film and video for bringing exhibitions to over 1500 cinemas since 2009.

Two Special Mentions went to The Next Rembrandt project from ING Bank and Signly with Signly @ The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre.
